On Monday, February 1st, Teachers Teammates’ opened its Online Free School Supply Store. Teachers from 4 school districts (Upper Darby, William Penn, Southeast Delco and Chester-Upland) were invited to register and place an order for the supplies they needed. Ultimately, this resource will be available to all 15 districts in Delaware County.

In the first month that our online free store was in operation we filled 26 teachers’ orders with an average value of $500! Let’s at least double the number of orders in March! Teachers receive a bonus gift when they refer a colleague that joins TT.
TT was able to install mobile shelving in our storage space to increase its capacity for donations.
Through the Kids in Need Foundation, Teachers’ Teammates received a tractor-trailer load of donated goods from JoAnn Stores. Volunteers started sorting and organizing the merchandise in preparation for it to be distributed to teachers.
In honor of MLK, Jr. Day, families volunteered to organize and count donations, test pens and markers and sharpen pencils. They picked up projects from TT and completed them in their homes to abide by covid safe practices.
Maria Panaritis, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer interviewed Raelyn to learn more about Teachers’ Teammates. As a result, more inquiries came in, more donations were made and new volunteers offered to contribute.

In recognition of Giving Tuesday, we launched a Facebook campaign to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of 1,500 lap size whiteboards and dry erase markers. Items needed for virtual classwork.

TT is now approved as a designated charity for Smile.Amazon accounts and has a wish list for people to use if they’d like to send supplies directly to us. Please use Smile.Amazon when shopping and Amazon will donate .5% to Teachers’ Teammates.

Collaborated with the Foundation of Delco, Main Line Health, Senator Tim Kearney’s office, The Community’s Foundation, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Avid Pharma and The Haverford Trust Company to raise the funds for 3,000 Home@School supply bags for all of the K-6th graders in the William Penn School District.
To show our support and appreciation for the work of some of our local educators and with the contributions of many individuals and organizations, we delivered Back to School bags to all 52 teachers and 30 support staff at the Darby Township Elementary School.

Research and Study
Conducted research into the feasibility of establishing a teacher resource center in Delaware County, PA.
